Dermal Fillers in East Rockaway, NY
Restylane Injections, Fat Injections, Minimally Invasive

Resorbable fillers are made from natural or synthetic materials that are broken down and resorbed by the body over time. They are temporary and will always need to be re-injected, typically in three to six months and possibly longer. Nonresorbable Fillers contain synthetic components that do not get broken down by the body. They are considered permanent because the particles cannot be removed, or ‘semi permanent’ because the particles are suspended in a substance that gets absorbed in three to six months. The term “permanent” can be somewhat misleading since as the aging process continues, you will need additional treatments.

The duration of dermal fillers is variable and depends on the formulation of the material, how deeply it is injected and how much is used as well as how severe the wrinkles or folds are.

Juvederm:
Juvederm is a smoother consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid. It is an injectable gel that instantly restores volume and hydration to the skin and smooths away facial wrinkles and folds. Juvederm Ultra is best suited for defining the border of the lips or plumping up the lips themselves. It can also be used around the eyes to eliminate fine wrinkles and fill in the lower eyelids (tear-trough deformity). Juvederm Ultra Plus is best used to correct deep nasolabial folds (the ceases that run from the base of the nose to the corner of the mouth). It is also used to correct the "marionette lines" from the corner of the mouth to the chin, to provide support for the corner of the mouth and to add volume to the cheeks. With Juvederm we are seeing results of six months and longer in some patients. In many cases, two syringes of Juvederm will be used during a treatment to obtain the maximum correction.

Radiesse:
Radiesse is the next generation dermal filler that not only corrects wrinkles and fills in lines but also adds long-lasting volume. Composed of calcium spheres suspended in a water-based gel, Radiesse stimulates the body to produce new collagen thus creating a result that lasts an average of one year. Radiesse, which is opaque, has to be injected deeper than the other dermal fillers to allow for better soft tissue coverage and integration with the patients' own tissues. Radiesse is best suited for correction of deep nasolabial folds, prominent laugh lines (marionette lines) and adding volume to the cheeks.

Restylane®:
We are using Restylane®, which is hyaluronic acid is a natural polysaccharide that is commonly found in the connective tissues of the body. The most common areas for treatment are the naso-labial folds (creases from the nose to mouth), the naso-mental creases (corners of the mouth) and around the lips, as well as cheek and chin contours. Some topical anesthetic is needed before treatment. With Restylane®, we are seeing longevity of six months and even longer in some patients. In most cases, a treatment consists of using two syringes of Restylane® to obtain maximum correction.

BOTOX®: Injections in Manhattan New York
Information, Minimally Invasive Surgery

Are you considering BOTOX injections in New York? BOTOX® a purified protein made from botulism bacteria, binds to the nerve endings, preventing the release of the chemical transmitters that activate muscles. When injected into specific areas of the face, it paralyzes the small muscles that cause frown lines, crow's feet, horizontal forehead creases, and other facial wrinkles. Botox® treatment decreases local muscle activity thereby preventing the appearance of “dynamic” wrinkles that are caused by repeated facial expressions. The effect generally lasts from three to four months. In some cases, after multiple treatments, results can last longer in between treatments. Typically, the frowning area lasts the longest, whereas areas around the mouth last the least long.

The procedure is performed in our New York office. First, the skin may be treated with a topical anesthetic, if requested. A thin, fine-gauge needle is then used to inject the Botox® into the skin and muscle of a specific part of the face. Most patients report a mild stinging sensation from the injection, which subsides rapidly. The treatment can sometimes cause a brief headache and bruising can occur at the injection site. Applying ice packs over the treated site before and after the injections can reduce the discomfort, swelling and bruising. You can go back to work and resume regular activities right after treatment. For BOTOX injections in New York City contact board certified plastic surgeon Eric Sadeh.

BOTOX® can be used to improve the appearance of nasolabial folds between the nose and lips, and the fine lines above the lips. Vertical muscle bands in the neck can also be treated. New uses for Botox® continue to be investigated for their safety and effectiveness.

New York plastic surgeon Eric Sadeh offers BOTOX injections, Restylane, Fat Injections and other minimally invasive techniques and procedures. Located in New York City serving Manhattan, Queens and Forest Hills.
